Our principles

Commitments, not marketing

These are promises the page makes out loud. Breaking one would be a serious failure on our part, not a policy update.

  1. One payment, no subscriptions.

    A Remembrance is paid for once. There is nothing to renew, nothing that lapses if a card expires, and nothing we can raise the price of later.

  2. No advertising, ever.

    A Remembrance will never carry an advertisement, and a grieving visitor will never be shown one on this site.

  3. No data sales, no upsells to mourners.

    What your family places in a Remembrance is not a product we sell to anyone, and it is not a lead we sell you upsells against.

  4. We never simulate the dead.

    Everspanse will never generate the voice, likeness, or personality of someone who has died. The people in a Remembrance are the real memories your family placed there. Nothing is synthesised to stand in for the person you lost.

  5. Built to outlast us.

    Everything placed in a Remembrance is written to permanent, decentralised storage, independent of Everspanse the company. If we ever close, the Remembrance and the record of who owns it remain reachable.
